Great Artspectations May 2nd!

Counting down!  CFCI’s Great ArtSpectations V is coming soon!  We will have a huge crowd of CFCI families and friends at the Coastline Convention Center on May 2nd.  We’re live-auctioning work by our featured artists:  Maya Simonson, Jonathan Summit, Don Bashore, Kim Beller, Bradley Carter, and Megan Deitz.  These artists have generously given their time and expertise in working with our students this year.  We will be silent auctioning the students’ pieces and works by many local painters, sculptors, photographers, and artists who work with metal, beads, clay, and cloth.

It all begins with an Artists’ and Sponsors’ Reception at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner and drinks at 7:00 p.m.  From 7 till 8:30, everyone will be looking at the great array of artwork and placing bids in the silent auction, and we’ll end the evening with the live auction of our featured artists’ works.

Local artist Cammeron Batanides will be creating a painting throughout the evening, which will be auctioned to the highest bidder during the live auction.

Our goal is to raise $20,000.00 ($2K for our art program, and $18 K+ to purchase student tablets to create tablet stations in each classroom.)  Remember:  this is all about our kids, and providing them reliable access to technology and the best art program in the state!  (That’s our feeling…Ms. Ritchie is awesome!)

Amazing fact!!!  We already have 40 family sponsors!  For $100.00 you can become a family/business sponsor and receive 2 tickets to the Artists’ and Sponsors’ reception and to the dinner/drinks and silent and live auctions.  Or you can purchase advance tickets for $25.00 per person ($30.00 at the door) for the dinner and the two auctions.

If you want to be a family sponsor, we need to hear from you by April 20th!  If you want to be a sponsor OR purchase tickets, please contact Sam DePrisco at, or Beth Carter at
