We often have questions regarding our many facets of fundraising at CFCI. This website and it’s links are designed to help our CFCI Community understand:
- HOW do we raise money at CFCI?
- Who heads up these projects?
- Where does the money go?
- How can I help?
Below is a flowchart that is not quite complete for this school year, but it explains the “Who, What, When, Where, and Why” of Fundraising at CFCI. The school and the Partnership work closely and collaboratively. The teachers talk with the Partnership each year about school-wide projects their efforts may help fund, subscriptions (like Discovery Educations), etc. School Fundraising is focused on an annual goal. For the past few years, we have been working on outdoor spaces including the playgrounds, perimeter path, and climbing stations. For the next year or so, we are taking on a new goal of increasing Technology in the Classrooms. The specifics of this will be developed in the first few weeks of school, but will include both infrastructure to ensure that the technology we have is working to the best of it’s ability as well as increasing the technology available in classrooms. This may look like learning centers with laptop/desktop stations, tablet stations, wireless projectors, interactive whiteboards and more. It is an exciting endeavor, but a very expensive one, so we will be looking at creative ways to fundraise, build partnerships within the community and find grants.
