CAPE FEAR CENTER FOR INQUIRY,
a public charter school in Wilmington, NC is seeking applicants for a:

Kindergarten – First Grade Teacher,

 

Applicant must have a current NC K-6 teacher license or be eligible to receive one. Candidates should have experience and passion with teaching elementary grades (preferably kindergarten and first grade) using inquiry based instruction and blending a social curriculum into daily instruction.  This is a full time position. Teacher will be responsible for instruction for a class of 20 students in all subjects. Teacher would teach Kindergarten one year and loop up with that class to First grade the following year then continue to alternate teaching Kindergarten and First grade every other year with a new loop of students. CFCI follows the NC Common Core Curriculum. Teacher will also be expected to take on all normal duties, such as planning, parent communication, report cards, student evaluations, morning and dismissal duty, attending meetings, committees, and other activities.

  • HOURS: Full time, 7:30 am -3:30 pm school hours (additional hours as needed for faculty meetings, committee meetings, etc.)
  • SALARY: Based on NC Teacher Salary Schedule plus New Hanover County supplement, years experience and certification
    • BENEFITS: State Health Plan, State Retirement Plan, NC 401K, 403b, paid Sick Leave and Annual Leave HOURS: Full time, 7:30 am -3:30 pm school hours
  • TERM: August 14, 2018 through June 11, 2019 (all staff are on one year contracts)
